Sherlock Cap

The deerstalker is one of Britain's most enduring country hats — a design shaped entirely by function, worn across moor and field for over a century before it became inseparable from the silhouette of fiction's most celebrated detective. The Christys' Sherlock is a faithful rendering of that form, made in England from British tweed.

Its double-peaked construction — a forward brim and a rear peak of equal proportion — provides shelter from weather approaching from either direction, while the fold-down ear flaps, tied back in wear, can be fastened beneath the chin when conditions demand. It is a hat built around the logic of the landscape.

Three classic British cloth patterns are offered. Windowpane presents a clean, open check with a modern restraint; Houndstooth brings a bolder, high-contrast weave with deep roots in British sporting dress; and Multi-Check Tweed layers several tones into a richly textured cloth that reads differently at every distance. Each colourway is cut and made in England to the same standard.

Worn in the field or in the city, the Sherlock carries its references lightly — recognisable without being costumed, and well-made enough to earn its place in either setting.
