Made in England - Est. 1773

Crafted in England as part of the first collection in Christys’ new era of British production, the Yorkshire Tweed Flat Cap honours more than two and a half centuries of hat making heritage.

Cut using the Christys’ Heritage flat cap pattern, the cap features a longer crown profile that creates a refined drape while maintaining a neat, structured fit at the rear. This traditional silhouette reflects the proportions of classic British sporting caps worn perfected in the Golden age of the early twentieth century for timeless style.

Each cap is made using Shetland wool from a range of premium sporting tweeds, woven in Yorkshire by Abraham Moon & Sons, one of Britain’s most respected cloth mills. These robust tweeds offer a distinctive texture and depth of colour, with subtle windowpane checks and herringbone patterns that echo the countryside traditions from whence they originate.

The cap is finished with precise top-stitch detailing, a smooth satin lining, and careful internal construction that ensures both comfort and durability.

Produced in England using traditional methods, this collection marks a significant moment in Christys’ history — the return of craftsmanship to its historic home.

This is not a reinvention.

It is a continuation.
