Fur felt is the finest cloth a hat can be made from. Produced by bonding the natural fibres of rabbit or hare under heat and pressure — without weave, without seam — it achieves a surface of exceptional smoothness and a structure that holds its shape across decades of wear. The Canterbury is made from it entirely, blocked and finished in England.

The silhouette is a considered fedora — a pinched, tapered crown with a medium brim finished with a clean, upturned edge. It is a shape with enough presence to be worn with intention and enough restraint to sit alongside almost anything in a wardrobe. The grosgrain ribbon band is sewn flat and neat, adding definition without ornament.

In wear, fur felt reveals its particular qualities: a soft matte surface that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, a warmth without weight, and a suppleness that allows the hat to be shaped gently to the wearer's preference over time. It responds to the hand. It improves with age.

Three colourways are offered — Navy, Black and Brown — each a considered choice for a hat of this character. Navy reads as the most versatile, sitting between formal and relaxed with equal ease. Black is the sharpest, most architectural option. Brown is the most country, the warmest, and the one most likely to acquire distinction with wear.
