When the BBC needed caps fit for the Shelby family, they came to Christys' London. Founded in 1773, and hatmakers to Winston Churchill, Marlon Brando, and the Prince of Wales - Christys' handcrafted the caps worn on screen throughout the series of Peaky Blinders. The cap that launched a global obsession was ours. Now, to mark the release of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, we have created something worthy of that legacy.
Meet The Thomas Original, a strictly limited edition collector's cap, handmade in our workshops from genuine Harris Tweed, celebrating the Thomas Shelby character and the Peaky Blinders world that made the bakerboy cap iconic once more.
This is not a tribute. This is the original bloodline. Christys' eight-panel bakerboy construction, the same silhouette that appeared in the show, refined over 250 years of British hat-making, and is hand-cut and hand-assembled stitch by stitch, in genuine Harris Tweed: the Orb-certified fabric handwoven by islanders in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, the only cloth in the world protected by its own Act of Parliament.

The Thomas Original arrives in its black presentation box - the striking woodcut portrait of Thomas printed bold on the lid, is ready to gift or to add as a truly special collector’s piece. No further wrapping required. This is a collector's edition in every sense: the cap, the label, the box, and above all the provenance behind it.
Numbers are strictly limited. The Thomas Original will not be restocked. Once they are gone, the original is gone with them.
Can I return or exchange Thomas Original?
Each Thomas hat is handmade in limited numbers, so we encourage customers to choose carefully. Returns or exchanges can only be accepted where the original tag remains attached and the item is returned unworn and in its original condition.
