When the BBC needed caps fit for the Shelby family, they came to Christys' London. Founded in 1773, and hatmakers to Winston Churchill, Marlon Brando, and the Prince of Wales - Christys' handcrafted the caps worn on screen throughout the series of Peaky Blinders. The cap that launched a global obsession was ours. Now, to mark the release of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, we have created something worthy of that legacy.
Meet The Thomas Original, a strictly limited edition collector's cap, handmade in our workshops from genuine Harris Tweed, celebrating the Thomas Shelby character and the Peaky Blinders world that made the bakerboy cap iconic once more.
This is not a tribute. This is the original bloodline. Christys' eight-panel bakerboy construction, the same silhouette that appeared in the show, refined over 250 years of British hat-making, and is hand-cut and hand-assembled stitch by stitch, in genuine Harris Tweed: the Orb-certified fabric handwoven by islanders in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, the only cloth in the world protected by its own Act of Parliament.
What makes The Thomas Original a true collector's piece is in the details that surround the cap itself.

The Thomas Original arrives in its black presentation box - the striking woodcut portrait of Thomas printed bold on the lid, is ready to gift or to add as a truly special collector’s piece. No further wrapping required. This is a collector's edition in every sense: the cap, the label, the box, and above all the provenance behind it.
Numbers are strictly limited. The Thomas Original will not be restocked. Once they are gone, the original is gone with them.
Can I return or exchange Thomas Original?
Each Thomas hat is handmade in limited numbers, so we encourage customers to choose carefully. Returns or exchanges can only be accepted where the original tag remains attached and the item is returned unworn and in its original condition.

I loved the hat and it was of superb quality, but, it just did not fit at described, so I had to send it back across the pond. It was very exciting until I tried it on l, and it felt as if it were 2 cm too large.

Pedazo de gorra!!!!! La gorra es una pasada, especial diferente a las demas. Eso si para llevarla en el dia a dia es para valientes 😂😂😂 Talla exacta, material de 1ª calidad. Lo malo es que aparte de su precio tuve que pagar 76€ mas de impuestos de aduanas. Por lo demas a esperar q llegue el invierno para estrenarla.

It is a great looking hat both on and just sitting there. Sizing is dead on, and the box is a keeper, being very "Tommy" in an almost tongue in cheek way.

Christys Hats have outdone themselves in crafting the highest quality baker boy/newsboy hat made. I’ve a couple other newsboys, made by others, but they’re too flat. Both lack the authentic period style I was looking for. The Christys Thomas hat is the original. It has the seam structure, drape and 20s style that I wanted. I couldn’t be more pleased. Look no further. This is THE cap.
I love the style, and the fit. I wish the material was more attractive , a lovely woollen tweed but a very dark colour which would have been lovely in a nice herringbone brown or green.

Simply Fantastic. Christys Hats have outdone themselves in crafting the highest quality bakerboy/newsboy cap made. I’ve two other newsboys caps. One is inexpensive, simple wool, slimmer and more “modern”. It’s a basic 8 panel flat cap. The other was expensive, over $100 US and is also Harris tweed. Unfortunately, it is also pretty flat, lacking volume, standing seams and drape. I was pretty disappointed when it arrived. These two caps are ok, but just don’t compare. Both lack the authentic period style that I was looking for. The Christys Thomas cap is the original. It has the seam structure, the drape and 20s style that I wanted. I couldn’t be more pleased. Look no further. This is THE cap.
