How Christys delivery times work outside the UK

How Christys delivery times work outside the UK

When ordering a Christys hat or cap outside the UK, the most useful way to estimate arrival is to separate two stages: the time needed to prepare your order, and the carrier’s transit time after dispatch. Europe and worldwide destinations use different tracked DHL services, so their post-dispatch estimates are not the same.

Stock items are usually processed within 1–2 working days. Handmade products take 7 working days to be made and packed. Orders placed over a weekend or public holiday are processed on the next working day. These preparation times come before the delivery estimate shown for your region.

First, allow for preparation and dispatch

“Processing” is the preparation stage before a parcel leaves Christys. “After dispatch” means the parcel is with the carrier, so the European and worldwide estimates below measure DHL transit from that point rather than the full time from checkout. Add the relevant carrier window to the order’s preparation time, allowing for weekends, public holidays or customs delays where applicable.

Europe: DHL Economy tracked service

European orders are dispatched by DHL Economy tracked service. Deliveries to most European destinations are typically made within 3–4 business days after dispatch. This is the carrier transit estimate, so it should be added to the time Christys needs to process or make and pack the order.

For example, a stock order may need 1–2 working days before dispatch, followed by the typical 3–4 business-day DHL Economy journey. The estimate is not a guaranteed arrival date: customs checks or other circumstances outside Christys’ control can add time.

Worldwide destinations: DHL Express tracked service

Worldwide means destinations outside Europe. These orders are dispatched by DHL Express tracked service, with deliveries to most destinations typically made within 2–3 business days after dispatch.

The worldwide post-dispatch estimate can be quicker than Europe’s even when the parcel is travelling farther because Christys uses a different DHL service for this region. It is still a typical transit window rather than a guarantee, and customs delays or other circumstances outside Christys’ control may extend the journey.

What can change the estimate, and when to follow up

Delivery windows are typical estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. Customs checks can delay an order and may lead to additional duties, taxes or other charges set by the destination country. Those matters are outside Christys’ control; read the Shipping Policy for the full customs, duties and delivery terms.

If a European order has not arrived within 7 working days after dispatch, contact Christys and include your order number. For a worldwide order outside Europe, follow up if it has not arrived within 10 working days after dispatch. These thresholds are counted from dispatch, not from the date you placed the order.

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout once your delivery address is confirmed.

One man on the left with a beard, wearing a white shirt and black suspenders, is holding and looking down at a large wrapped package of papers. The other man on the right, with red hair and a beard, glasses, and a striped shirt with a yellow tie, is holding a tall stack of sheet music or similar documents. The space is tightly packed with shelves and documents. Lighting is warm and artificial.

Frequently asked questions

What does “after dispatch” mean? It is the carrier transit period that begins once Christys has prepared the order and handed the parcel to DHL; it does not include the preparation time before dispatch.

Why can worldwide delivery be quicker after dispatch than European delivery? Worldwide destinations outside Europe use DHL Express tracked service, while European orders use DHL Economy tracked service. The services have different typical transit windows.

Where are delivery charges shown? They are calculated at checkout once your delivery address is confirmed.

The key distinction is simple: preparation happens before dispatch, while the regional estimate begins once DHL has the parcel. For the complete customs and delivery terms, read the Shipping Policy before ordering.
